We always recommend reading ingredients for the pet food products and treats we choose to give our pets. 

Purplemoon Marketplace's creator learned from her very good friends that simple whole foods are best and if you make it you control what you eat. and what your pet's eat.

We wanted to share a few simple and quick recipes that we make weekly to feed our dogs. They love it and we hope your fur baby's do too!

 Very Veggie Dog Food Topper 

This recipe comes together in minutes. Split mixture into small portions depending on your dogs size and freeze. 

 Sweet potato, Pumpkin and Carrots ( You can add or subtract any veggies that for dog approved) 

1. Steam or boil the veggies until soft 

2. Blend with a small amount of water or bone broth until smooth or chunky whatever you like.

3. Drizzle this food topper over your dog's regular food.

Turkey, brown rice and veggies

This recipe comes together in 10-20 minutes. Split mixture into small portions depending on your dogs size and freeze. 

 1 lb ground turkey

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

1 cup brown rice ( rinsed three times before preparing).

Brown turkey in skillet until cooked through, drain. Prepare rice per package, add to turkey mixture and add peas and carrots. Heat combining all. 

* 1 cup sweet potato or pumpkin - instead of brown rice  

Additions for either recipe:

eggs 

flaxseed

broth

cinnamon or a bit of tumeric

          Pumpkin and Carrot 

Ingredients

• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree( not pie filling)
• 1/4 cup avocado oil or coconut oil
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup honey ( optional)
• 1/2 cup shredded carrots 

Frosting 

• plain greek yogurt
• sweet potato puree

Ingredients

1. Pre heat oven to 350F, line or grease small cake baking pan

2. Combine the flour and the baking soda in a large bowl.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, oil egg, and honey.

4. Fold in the shredded carrots and then mix in the dry ingredients until combined.

5. Bake for 20 -22 minutes . Cool completely.

6. Mix the greek yogurt with small any of sweet potato puree for a simple tasty frosting.
